Veronika Decides to Die
Reading Classes

If you haven't read this book I recommend checking it out.  It is a very easy read.  I got through it in like 3 hours yesterday.  I wanted to read it before the movie with SMG comes out and I'm glad I did.  It is, to me, a very subtle book, but with some beautiful and powerful moments.    Even though I think I've heard some major changes have been made I'm really looking forward to the movie now.  However, sadly, like all SMG productions lately there is no set release date.  IMDB says Novemeber but it wasn't in EW's fall movie preview so I don't know if November is for certain and the official website is only a preview right now.  Which bums me out.  Hopefully it will be released soon and with some press, unlike Suburban Girl, which ended up straight to DVD. :(

But the book is worth reading whether you want to see the movie or not.  Now I have another wonderful author to explore.

Sleeped Deprived Thoughts
Need some sleep
[info]spygrrl76
I actually typed this post 2 days ago but didn't have a change to post until today.  I ended up writing it as a WORD doc because I lost my first version of the post do to stupid Internet Explorer shutting down on me.  Gah!  That was so frustrating.  At the time I was running on 2 1/2 hours of sleep so please ignore any delirium induced ramblings.  LOL

Ok, what else had I already typed about? Oh, yeah! Big news on The WB…apparently Viva Le WB. Found this story on TV Guide’s website: http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-News-Blog/Todays-News/Wb-Gilmore-Girls/800035174. The WB is returning in an Internet format where it will show its Warner Bros. TV studio produced shows like Gilmore Girls, Jack & Bobby and Everwood (which should send those show’s fans into an ecstatic frenzy since S2-4 are not on DVD and there are no current plans for those seasons to be put released on DVD. So yeah for you guys!) Shows like Buffy and Angel are not included since they were FOX studios produced (but who knows about the future).

I think (as a WB junkie) it would be spectacular if they eventually began showing new, originally programming in the vein of the shows from their heyday a la Buffy, Felicity and even Charmed. The timing of this announcement is so funny because I just finished reading the book by Susanne Daniels, former WB executive, called Season Finale about the rise and fall of The WB and UPN.

Happy (belated) New Year!!
I'm like a superhero quote
[info]spygrrl76
I hope everyone had a great holiday, whichever one you celebrate, and a good New Year.  I am happy to report two of the four grad school applicationsare complete and submitted as of today.  Whoo-hoo!  Only two more to go.  Hence the lack of communication.  I've been keeping up with my flist for the most part, but haven't had time to comment.  So I'm sorry about that.  Once these darn application are done I am going to try and be better about that.
